Role Summary:

Schoolfundr is seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) who will have the unique opportunity to build our company’s brand and customer loyalty while assisting our teams in expanding our customer base.

This new team member will have a unique opportunity to support Schoolfundr’s continued disruption of the school fundraising market. The individual will build relationships with sports coaches and other extracurricular group leaders, and have development opportunities to grow into a Territory Account Manager role (performance dependent). The role also has uncapped commission.

Core responsibilities include identifying, researching, prospecting, and creating new qualified opportunities that align with Schoolfundr’s ideal customer profile and value proposition. Our BDRs partner with Territory Account Managers (TAMs) to develop strategic account plans, generate a strong pipeline of deal flow from outbound prospecting, and serve as a key contributor in developing Schoolfundr’s outbound channels.

Our BDRs work closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Product to ensure goal attainment and that our customers are experiencing excellent outcomes. A successful BDR will possess both a customer success/service and sales skill set, to drive engagement with decision-makers and influencers within our existing top K-12 Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Expand our pipeline of qualified opportunities and build relationships by opening sales conversations with prospects
Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects to qualify and set appointments
Drive Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, SMS, sales sequences and nurture campaigns in a collaboration with our Marketing team
Efficiently determine a prospect’s interest in our product and initially screen for needs
Update and maintain CRM database

Preferred Skills & Characteristics:

Strong desire to make an impact on school communities and help them raise more and keep more of their funds
Minimum 1 years of experience in a professional setting, ideally Sales, Customer Success, or Customer Support or a Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field. 1 years of experience with an email marketing platform and a CRM is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to transform customer conversations into business-driving relationships
Go-getter who is assertive and persistent in their approach, and brings an ownership mindset
Building strong, trusting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
Time management skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times ever-evolving environment
