About Us
UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ is a public comprehensive community college providing quality, affordable, accessible educational programs that serve the greater Union County region. It is the first of New Jersey’s 18 Associate Degree colleges, serving both career-minded and transfer-oriented students since 1933. The College enrolls almost 20,000 credit, non-credit, and continuing education students and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Many programs lead to an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or an Associate in Applied Science degree.
The College is a top destination to work and study. UCNJ was named a semifinalist for the 2023 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. We were recently recognized by Intelligent.com as having the best community college honors program in New Jersey and ranked #2 for top "Academic Influence." UCNJ earned the highest ranking for New Jersey community colleges for online education by OnlineU.com for 2023 and Intelligent.com for 2024. Additionally, our business program was named #1 by the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce.
