This is an urgent need for a remote, licensed, Michigan SLP!
Are you passionate about helping children and families thrive? At Parallel, we’re seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a strong background in school settings to join our mission of empowering students with learning differences. If you're committed to collaborative, team-focused care and equipping children with the tools they need for success, we want you to be part of our Provider Network!
What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive SLP evaluations and deliver direct services to children in school settings.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with a focus on school-based SLP goals.
- Continuously monitor student progress, adapting strategies to meet evolving needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, school staff, and students about progress and strategies.
- Complete essential documentation, including IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations, with precision and timeliness.
- Work with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss student needs, provide guidance, and implement effective interventions.
- Actively participate in team meetings, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure every student's success
What You’ll Need
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and licensure to practice in Michigan.
- Prior experience working in a school setting and familiarity with Michigan-specific school-based SLP practices.
- Proven ability to contribute to a team-focused approach, working collaboratively rather than solely pulling students for therapy.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and school staff from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- A strong understanding of the scope and impact of school-based speech-language services, including educational eligibility determinations and comprehensive reporting.
- Experience participating in IEP meetings, case management, and designing interventions to meet students’ academic and social needs.
- Comfort with technology and proficiency in using telehealth platforms for virtual services.
- Availability during standard school hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
