Sourcebooks, a leading independent book publisher based in the western suburbs of Chicago, is looking for a highly skilled and proactive Executive Assistant to partner with our visionary CEO. In this role, you won’t just be managing calendars—you’ll be contributing to the success of a fast-growing company, fostering relationships across our dynamic organization, and playing a key role in shaping the efficiency of our operations.

Location: This is a full-time, in-office role based in Naperville, IL. You will work five days a week in our office to support seamless collaboration and ensure business continuity. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Salary Range for this role is $65,000 - $90,000 and will commensurate with experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Be the CEO’s Strategic Partner: Provide executive-level support, including calendar management, travel coordination, and acting as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
- Optimize Operations: Streamline administrative processes, track deadlines, and implement best practices to improve organizational efficiency.
- Lead Meeting Coordination: Prepare agendas, take ownership of meeting minutes, and follow through on action items to ensure seamless execution of executive meetings.
- Master Communication: Draft and manage confidential correspondence with professionalism, clarity, and precision.
- Build Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with senior leaders, team members, and external partners.
- Own Special Projects: Partner with the CEO on high-priority projects, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
- Plan Events: Organize company meetings, team-building activities, and in-office events to promote collaboration and engagement.
- Solve Problems Creatively: Anticipate challenges, remain calm under pressure, and approach situation with a proative, solution focused mindset.
What We’re Looking For:
- Seasoned Professional: 10+ years of experience supporting senior executives, preferably in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Master Organizer: Exceptional ability to manage complex schedules and juggle multiple priorities with precision.
- Communication Expert: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with an eye for detail and professionalism.
- Tech-Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a quick adopter of new productivity tools.
- Discretion and Integrity: Proven ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Problem-Solver Extraordinaire: A resourceful and proactive approach to challenges, with a focus on delivering solutions.
