About the Role
As the Senior Programs Lead, West Coast at The AI Education Project (aiEDU), you will advance AI literacy for students by developing and supporting partnerships with school districts and education agencies across multiple states. Your primary focus will be on fostering robust relationships with partners ensuring the effective delivery of our services.
You will be the key liaison between aiEDU and our partner school districts. Your responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams and leadership as well as tailoring our offerings to meet the specific requirements of each district.
As a member of the small aiEDU team, your leadership will be critical to the growth and success of the organization. This role reports to the Chief Programs Officer.

- Location: Strong preference for residing on the West Coast
- Travel: 40% of your time will be spent traveling, depending on home location.
- Compensation: The baseline compensation for this role is $125,000-$130,000.

✅ Your Responsibilities (percentages fluctuate during the year and over time):
Partnership Development - 40%
- Set and lead growth strategy for West Coast partnerships grounded in community need, local context, and funding opportunities
- Cultivate and develop new partnerships (both from cold and warm leads) with schools, districts, counties and state level entities to support their efforts in becoming AI Ready and developing AI Literacy skills for all students
- Build strong relationships with existing partners at the school, district, county and state levels to support evolving needs in AI Readiness and ensure our services stay relevant and useful
- Manage partnership development tracking and portfolio planning for the West Coast to ensure we reach growth targets
Service Delivery - 40%
- Develop strong Senior-level relationships within districts to become a trusted advisor on AI Readiness strategies and AI Literacy approach
- Lead partnership services including senior level advising, conducting professional development trainings, leading working groups, leading PLCs/communities of practice, and providing curriculum support
- Coordinate with Learning Team and aiEDU leadership to deliver highest quality services and ensure aiEDU adds value to each partner
- Set goals and develop metrics to measure effectiveness of partnerships
- Lead data collection and reporting for all partnerships, including for funder or grant reporting tied to partnership delivery
Organizational Leadership - 20%
- Collaborate across teams to bring the best of aiEDU to each partner including: Learning Team who designs our materials and professional learning content, External Team who works on communications and engagement of funders, and Operations Team who manages our grant and financial reporting
- Contribute to strengthening the Programs team by leading individual projects designed to support the building of our team and systems
- Represent aiEDU at external conferences and presentations as a leader in AI Literacy and AI Readiness
- Contribute to all aspects of making aiEDU a strong organization as we grow
