The University of Notre Dame's Office of Information Technology is seeking a Temporary Staff member to assist the University Networking & Telephony Services (UNTS) team with our Wireless First initiative. The Wireless First initiative focuses on transitioning campus workspaces to wireless connectivity, replacing outdated desk phones with Webex Calling, and enhancing WiFi coverage both indoors and outdoors across campus.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Customer Support & Training: Interact with campus groups to assist with the installation and setup of Webex Calling on mobile devices and PC/Macs. Provide hands-on support and training for end-users.
- Equipment Staging: Unbox, label, and connect phones to switches as part of the Webex Calling migration process.
- Workspace Conversion: Assist in converting workspaces to wireless technology in alignment with the Wireless First initiative.
- Documentation: Proofread cutsheets to ensure accuracy and clarity in project documentation.
- Field Surveys: Conduct surveys to assess readiness and identify any adjustments needed for wireless implementation.
- Collaboration: with OIT/UNTS staff to ensure smooth execution of the Wireless First project.
