The Role
As a Product Manager at Lumion, you will be at the center of our product development efforts, ensuring that we deliver high-impact features that meet the needs of schools, administrators, and students. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, compliance, and business stakeholders to build and enhance our platform.
This role requires a strong product discovery mindset, an ability to manage complex roadmaps, and expertise in UX design and systems thinking. You will be responsible for gathering insights, defining requirements, working closely with engineering teams, and ensuring that our fintech and edtech solutions remain compliant with relevant regulations.

Role Responsibilities
- Product Discovery & Strategy
- Conduct customer research and analyze market trends to identify high-impact opportunities.
- Define and prioritize features that enhance user experience and drive business goals.
- Develop product roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Product Execution & UX Design
- Own the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch.
- Collaborate with designers to create wireframes, prototypes, and UX flows in Figma.
- Write clear and actionable user stories and requirements for engineering teams.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work directly with engineering teams to ensure smooth product delivery.
- Partner with compliance and legal teams to ensure all fintech-related features adhere to industry regulations.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and customer support to drive adoption and gather feedback.
- Data & System Analysis
- Use SQL and data analytics tools to measure product performance and inform decisions.
- Monitor KPIs and iterate on features based on data insights.
- Maintain a strong understanding of software system design and work with engineers to design scalable solutions.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5-7 years of experience in product management, particularly in SaaS, edtech, fintech, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing the product lifecycle and executing product discovery processes.
- Strong UX and product design skills, with hands-on experience using Figma.
- Comfortable working directly with engineering teams, writing user stories, and defining system architecture.
- Experience with JIRA for backlog management and sprint planning.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills for product insights and decision-making.
- Familiarity with fintech compliance and regulations, particularly around payments, lending, or financial services.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative startup environment and drive results with limited resources.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working with edtech platforms or technical school software.
- Knowledge of API integrations and system architecture.
- Background in payments, student financing, or lending products.
