Job Title: Account Manager / Senior Account Manager
Location: Field Sales, (KY, TN, AL, MS, AR) – Candidates must reside within territory
We are seeking an Account Manager to join the Gulf Central regional team. The role involves managing annual renewals, expanding district partnerships, identifying needs for new products and services, and building strong relationships with district stakeholders. This individual will also collaborate with Account Executives and Partner Success Managers responsible for acquiring new partners.
Candidates with 3+ years of sales experience may be eligible for the Senior Account Manager title depending on their qualifications and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing NWEA customers, working with schools and districts ranging from 1,500 to 25,000 students.
- Serve as the primary account contact, ensuring customer loyalty and retention through proactive engagement.
- Develop and execute a customer communication strategy to uncover needs, resolve issues, and drive continued product adoption.
- Achieve renewal and expansion targets aligned with regional objectives.
- Plan and prioritize new product expansion and retention activities in coordination with team and organizational goals.
- Conduct webinars, data consultations, and sales activities as needed to support customer success.
- Implement efficient processes and best practices to tailor solutions to each district’s needs.
- Stay informed on NWEA products and services, industry trends, education policies, and competitive offerings.
- Use a consultative sales approach to present product features and benefits proactively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information, opportunities, and pipeline tracking in Salesforce.
- Present pricing and contractual terms in accordance with company policies.
- Travel up to 15% for internal and external meetings and events.
What You’ll Need
- Experience with NWEA products, services, and implementation is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field.
- Account Management experience (3+ years preferred), with a proven track record of success in client retention and expansion.
- Candidates with 2-5 years of sales experience will be considered for the Senior Account Manager title.
- Strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills to create a positive customer experience.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce and ability to manage pipeline and reporting effectively.
- Understanding of K-12 education and assessment methods is preferred.
Salary Range
- Account Manager: $75K – $85K
- Senior Account Manager: $85K – $95K
