About the Opportunity

As the Vice President of Product Management - SaaS Platform, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of Ellucian’s platform ecosystem, leading the development of Ellucian Experience, Insights, Ethos, Data Connect, Workflow, Document Management, Forms, Business Rules Engine, and Communicate.

This role will drive the technical and business evolution of Ellucian’s AI-driven, data-centric, and extensible platform, ensuring seamless interoperability across SIS, CRM, Student Financial Success, and Degree Audit & Planning solutions. You will scale SaaS adoption, enhance user experience, and enable seamless institutional operations through automation, data intelligence, APIs, and security.

Where you will make an impact

Platform Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute Ellucian’s SaaS platform roadmap, driving AI, automation, analytics, workflow orchestration, and security innovations.
  • Establish interoperability and extensibility across SIS, CRM, and ERP solutions through APIs, event-driven architectures, and low-code automation.
  • Drive AI-first initiatives to enhance institutional decision-making and student engagement.

AI, Data Intelligence & Automation

  • Lead AI-powered innovations, including AI-driven student success analytics, anomaly detection, and automated workflows.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics, reporting, and predictive insights.
  • Oversee data management strategies, including bulk data processing, metadata migration, and ALM frameworks.

Product-Led Growth & GTM Execution

  • Drive adoption and commercialization of SaaS platform services, collaborating with sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Define and implement usage-based pricing models, platform monetization, and customer adoption strategies.
  • Develop technical documentation and self-service developer experiences to enhance third-party integrations and ecosystem expansion.

Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Lead Ellucian’s security-first approach, including authentication, BYOK encryption, role-based access control (RBAC), and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure scalable and secure multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure supporting millions of students and administrators globally.

Organizational Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build and mentor a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of innovation, execution, and customer obsession.
  • Partner with engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams to execute the platform roadmap and drive customer value.

What you will bring 

  • 15+ years in enterprise SaaS product leadership with a proven track record of AI-driven platform innovation and execution.
  • Big Tech / SaaS Background – Experience at Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Salesforce, Adobe, or leading SaaS/AI platforms preferred.
  • AI & Automation Expertise – Strong background in AI-driven automation, predictive analytics, and machine learning applications.
    Enterprise-Scale SaaS Execution – Proven ability to scale cloud-based platforms to support millions of users.
  • Data & API Ecosystem Leadership – Expertise in data analytics, APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration frameworks.
  • Security & Compliance Mastery – Deep understanding of authentication, RBAC, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
  • GTM & Commercialization Expertise – Experience in product-led growth, pricing models, and SaaS monetization strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership – Strong track record in building and leading global product teams.

Extra credit

  • Higher Ed Technology Experience – Familiarity with SIS, CRM, ERP, financial aid, and student success platforms is a plus.
