Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Google Workspace Sales Director with a solid background in workspace technologies and a deep understanding of the public sector's unique needs. This role is pivotal in driving workspace sales, business development, achieving strategic goals, and leading customers through the entire business cycle with Google Workspace solutions. A successful candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to understand and adapt to the evolving digital workspace landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to Google Workspace products. Understand market trends and customer needs to position these solutions effectively.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team. Provide training and development to ensure they are skilled in selling Google Workspace solutions and understanding customer needs.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Understand customer business needs and objectives to align with Google Workspace solutions.
- Track and meet sales targets and KPIs. Analyze data to make decisions and forecast future sales.
- Product Knowledge and Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of Google Workspace products, their developments, and updates. Ensure the team is also up-to-date with product knowledge.
- Market and Competitor Analysis: Keep abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies. Adjust sales strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective strategies and materials for promoting Google Workspace products.
- Customer Feedback and Customer Service Improvement: Gather customer feedback on Google Workspace products and communicate this to the product operations team for potential improvements or customizations.
- Pricing and Contract Negotiations: Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Administration: Provide regular reports on sales activities, revenue, and expenses. Ensure adherence to company policies and legal guidelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, such as technical support and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience and resolve any issues promptly.
- Innovation and Adaptation: Continually seek innovative ways to improve the sales process and customer experience with Google Workspace products.
- Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with Google and other relevant partners to stay updated on new features and opportunities.
- Training and Certifications: Ensure that the team is trained and, if necessary, certified in Google Workspace products to enhance credibility and expertise.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with Workspace solutions, with a preference for candidates who have deep experience within the cloud services domain.
- Minimum of 5-8 years in professional services sales, with leadership experience in a consulting environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with Google Workspace sellers, partners, and customers, with existing relationships in the sector being a significant advantage.
- Strong background in selling cloud services and solutions, with specific experience in Data Analytics, AI/ML project delivery, and solution sales.
- Ability to work collaboratively with GTM Pre-sales Teams to lead sales efforts across Google Workspace sales segments
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Flexibility and agility in responding to evolving business priorities and dealing with ambiguity.
