Udacity is seeking Independent Contractor Mentors for its Front End Developer Nanodegree program to provide technical support and project reviews to students. Ideal candidates are industry professionals with strong technical skills and a passion for helping learners succeed.
Responsibilities: Mentors will respond to technical queries within an hour, review project submissions, provide personalized feedback, and ensure originality and compliance with guidelines.
Skills: Required skills include HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Frontend Frameworks, and interpersonal skills with a student-first mindset.
Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include the ability to work flexibly on a part-time contract basis and experience in tech education.
Location: Location is nationwide across the USA, allowing for remote work.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $30 - $60 per hour.

- Technical Competence: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Webpack/Gulp/Grunt, Frontend Framework, CSS Preprocessors, RESTful API structure, Asynchronous JavaScript, NodeJS, and ExpressJS.

Responsibilities:
- As a Q&A Professional
- Provide support to students by responding to technical queries over our Knowledge platform.
- Maintain a response time of less than 1 working hour for student queries through our Knowledge Hub.
- Provide technically accurate and thorough answers.

- As a Project Reviewer
- Review project submissions and provide personalized feedback.
- Ensure that project submissions are original work and have not been plagiarized.
- Maintain a review time of less than 8 working hours for project submission.
