Figma Ventures is seeking a Corporate Development & Strategy professional to lead investment opportunities and operationalize processes within the company, working closely with founders and executives.
Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, and build relationships with startup founders while operationalizing investment processes for Figma Ventures.
Skills: 6+ years of experience in operations or investments, with at least 3 years in venture capital, alongside strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Qualifications: Experience with early stage startups and familiarity with venture capital is preferred but not required.
Location: This role can be held from Figma's US hubs or remotely within the United States.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $150,000 - $200,000.
Founded in 2022, Figma Ventures is Figma’s dedicated investment fund and sits within the Corporate Development & Strategy team. This role is the first full-time hire for Figma Ventures as we double down on this important strategic lever for the business. This position will have the opportunity to work closely with founders in the ecosystem as well as Figma’s key executives to develop and expand Figma Ventures.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
- Identify interesting areas for investment, develop theses, and source investment opportunities for Figma Ventures
- Evaluate new investments, owning all aspects of due diligence from initial meeting through investment memo
- Build relationships with founders (prospective and existing), serving as their primary conduit to Figma
- Operationalize Figma Ventures by building out repeatable processes around how we interact with portfolio companies and track our investments
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 6+ years of relevant experience as an operator or investor
- 3+ years in venture capital or corporate venture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing talent
- Experience building relationships and communicating with stakeholders across all levels and functions
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Experience working with early stage startups as well as building a “startup within a startup”
