Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the development and engineering of solutions under the purview of the Collaborative Services Team. It includes providing support for collaborative suites, notably Azure, Office 365, Google Workspace, and Zoom. This position is deeply involved in design and planning, troubleshooting, research and development, project management, and testing assurance of Collaborative solutions. This position focuses on the administrative and transformation processes of enterprise cloud service like but not limited to Google Workspace, Microsoft, Zoom and enterprise artificial intelligence platforms. This position is responsible for designing, deploying, administering, and supporting Google Workspace services and related collaborative solutions across FSU. This Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless collaboration, productivity, and security by managing core applications, third-party tools, and internal systems. This role also acts as a subject matter expert for Google Workspace initiatives, providing support and guidance for both technical and non-technical users. This position will provide important insight to modernize the way FSU communicates across campus and beyond with robust and modern cloud-based solutions.
Engineer solutions to meet complex business needs utilizing Azure, Zoom, Google, and other collaborative services. Responsible for ensuring operational reliability, maintenance, budgeting, and effective security.
Administer, improve operations efficiencies, and architect collaboration platforms solutions, including full lifecycle management, best practices, group management, security configurations, migration strategies, and automated scripting (PowerShell, Python, and API management). Heavy focus on Google Platform API integration and automated script.
Offers expert guidance and advice to Information Technology Services (ITS) personnel and the Florida State University (FSU) community on complex business problems. Participates in addressing and resolving queries submitted to the Help Desk.
Collects and analyzes usage and performance data; diagnoses problems and takes appropriate action anytime, day or night. Conduct quality assurance checks to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of systems. Lead Google platform development with FSU SSO and IGA solutions.
Perform duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards. Interact with the FSU ISPO office regarding the Google Platform.
Shares responsibilities for providing support 24/7. Other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and two years experience or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to six years.

This position has been designated as eligible for primarily remote based on the current position/job functions. Employees are required to live in the Tallahassee area and report to campus as needed.
