About the role
We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work onsite with our customers to build custom solutions, lead and deliver the best outcomes, and drive every project from idea to launch. You’ll also own the technical story in front of customers, leading demos that showcase what’s possible with the HackerRank platform. As an FDE, you’ll wear three hats: engineer, consultant, and project manager. No hand-offs, no middle layers.
What you’ll do
- Lead high-impact demos and technical presentations that show how HackerRank helps companies hire developers based on skills.
- Work onsite with customers to design and build solutions that transform complex hiring and upskilling challenges into simple, scalable workflows using HackerRank’s platform.
- Work onsite with customers, engineers, recruiters, and business leaders to uncover developer hiring and training needs and shape the right solution to fit their goals.
- Utilize AI-first tools and emerging technologies to accelerate delivery and elevate the standard for how HackerRank engages and empowers customers.
- Collaborate across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to deliver the full impact of HackerRank’s developer skills platform to every customer interaction.
Who you are
- A full-stack builder comfortable working with web applications, IDEs, APIs, back-end services, and developer tools and technologies.
- Confident speaking onsite with enterprise customers, whether it’s delivering a demo, gathering requirements, and turning them into high-impact workflows and solutions.
- A clear communicator who can go deep with engineers or simplify for non-technical crowds.
- You bring energy, creativity, and a problem-solver’s mindset to every customer engagement.
Even better if you have
- Experience as a software, solutions, or sales engineer working with HR tech, ATS platforms, IDEs, developer tools, API-first or integration-heavy systems.
- Project management chops. Ultra organized, you can set (and meet) project deadlines.
