We’re looking for an on-site, part-time Full-Charge Bookkeeper who can own our day-to-day accounting operations and keep our financial systems running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on, systems-oriented environment and values accuracy, consistency, and strong process.
What You’ll Own
Accounting & Month-End Close
- Maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks Online
- Perform bank, credit card, and clearing account reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries (accruals, prepaids, reclasses)
- Own the monthly close process and deliver clean P&L, balance sheet, and aging reports
Accounts Receivable (Upflow)
- Create and send customer invoices (schools, districts, partners)
- Track and manage payments via Upflow
- Maintain accurate AR aging and follow up on overdue balances
- Match invoices to work orders/POs as needed
Accounts Payable (Tipalti)
- Process vendor and provider bills via Tipalti
- Route coding and approvals
- Prepare weekly payment runs
- Maintain vendor records (W-9s, payment info)
Financial Operations
- Manage Stripe payments and refunds; reconcile payouts; handle disputes
- Administer corporate banking and credit cards (card issuance, limits, reconciliation)
- Respond to finance-related HubSpot support tickets
- Support internal reporting, cash visibility, and documentation
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, including full-charge responsibility
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience managing AR and AP in modern platforms (Upflow, Tipalti preferred)
- Comfort with Stripe or similar payment processors
- Strong accuracy, organization, and follow-through
- Clear communicator with experience interacting with customers and vendors
- Able to work 20 on-site hours/week in NYC
