What you'll do here:

We are seeking a data-driven Product Analytics Scientistwith a strong technical background in product analytics to join our team. The Product Analytics Scientistrole at Cengage offers an outstanding chance to craft our marketing strategies through robust data insights. You will be part of an ambitious team determined to use data to drive outstanding business growth and improve our marketing efforts. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring our marketing investments are optimized and our strategies are backed by flawless data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to develop and refine customer segmentation within our sales funnels based on behavioral and engagement data.
Analyze user behavior across digital products to uncover insights that inform marketing strategies
Design and help execute A/B tests or other experiments to evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns on web activity and customer engagement
Partner closely with product, marketing, and UX teams to define KPIs and build dashboards to track performance across the user journey.
Build and upkeep dashboard views for the most frequently requested marketing reports, guaranteeing data clarity, accessibility, and value.
Analyze customer behavior and sales funnel performance, identifying trends, segment differences, and preferences to optimize engagement strategies and improve conversion rates.
Establish consistent definitions, reporting practices, and calculation methods for critical metrics throughout the organization.
Provide regular updates to collaborators, highlighting important insights, actionable suggestions, and goals based on data.
Proactively investigate root causes of aberrant data and find opportunities for optimization.
Identify and recommend improvements to data sources and critical metric definitions.
Apply experience with analytics tools (ie, GA4, Amplitude), to track performance and ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Skills you will need here:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of data analytics experience in marketing or product analytics, preferably in a digital-first environment
Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics GA4, Amplitude, Adobe Analytics) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI).
Familiarity with experimentation platforms and A/B testing methodologies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate complex insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
Proficiency with SQL
Bonus: Hands-on experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and advertising platforms like Facebook Ads and Google Ads.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
