This internship is ideal for a current college student or recent graduate eager to dive into the world of book publishing — especially the side that connects books with media, events, and promotion with the readers. You’ll get hands-on experience working on real publicity campaigns, collaborating with passionate team members, and you’ll learn how publicity helps stories reach new audiences.
About the Program

The Sourcebooks Adult imprints are looking for an enthusiastic, curious, and creative Summer Publicity Intern to join our team!
You’ll work across multiple imprints, including Landmark, Poisoned Pen Press, Nonfiction, and Romance, giving you a broad view of how publicity operates across genres. Strong writing skills and a willingness to learn are key, as you’ll help craft engaging and professional materials. Each imprint is a small but mighty team, and we can’t wait to welcome you aboard!
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Help build press materials such as media lists, press kits, and pitch letters that highlight our upcoming books and authors
- Monitor media coverage and research creative opportunities for book features, author interviews, and trending topics
- Keep our Monday.com internal events log up to date with new publicity leads and media opportunities
- Assist with publicity mailings and other physical material prep and support
- Spearhead media contact research projects to strengthen existing relationships and discover new outlets and contacts
- Provide general administrative support and assist with cross-imprint projects as needed
