Vice President of Product
The VP of Product is responsible for managing and guiding the product roadmap, overseeing institutional operations and development, and providing management to support the product division. This role supports the Product and Software Engineering departments to achieve mission-critical goals, ensuring that all functions are aligned to support the company’s strategic objectives.
Structured as a fully-remote, salaried, exempt position. This position will report to the President and CEO.

Position Details
Product Vision & Strategy
- Inform and lead high-level product vision in collaboration with leadership.
- Conduct an extensive needs assessment with both internal and external stakeholders to determine and develop a short and long-term product roadmap.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to build cross-departmental relationships to further expand on sales, training, and development of the institution’s products and services
Institutional Key Performance Indicators
- Ensures organizational plans, procedures, and controls are employed to execute and attain goals
- Meets annually with Senior Leaders to create, analyze, and adjust KPIs
Process and Product Management
- Oversee the product life cycle, from ideation to release.
- Plan and prioritize what (and when) the product teams will deliver.
- Collaborate with engineering and product design teams to ensure product delivery.
- Build and monitor plans around the ongoing performance of current product offerings.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products.
- Supports and encourages the continuous training of team members
Collaboration
- Oversee and direct those involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products.
- Engage with all internal stakeholders to assess and prioritize their product needs.
- Ensure engagement with the sales, marketing, and customers to gather and promote the most relevant ideas into features.
- Go-to-market: Lead in engaging cross-functional teams to deliver a complete product experience.
Leadership
- Trains, supports, and develops the Product and Software Engineering teams
- Leads with a Product mindset and serves as a role model for attracting top talent.

- Ability to identify, own, and solve problems independently or as part of a team.
Position Requirements

Experience
- Product management experience in a SaaS or Cloud-based company.
- 10+ years of experience leading digital products across multiple lines of business.
- In-depth knowledge of web systems and architecture, design, and development.
- Hands-on experience with complex project management and knowledge of various Agile frameworks.
- Experience working in or within K-12 and or Higher Education industry.
- Experience in data analysis and data-driven product design.
- Experience working in a remote capacity is strongly preferred.
- Travel up to 25% is required for this position.
- Ability to view computer screens for significant periods of time, use a laptop keyboard with accuracy, hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like. Compensation
