The Product Manager supports the strategic development of new products and maintenance of existing products. They engage with various cross-functional teams to ensure product launches/updates run smoothly and assist as needed in the product development cycle. The Product Manager creates and maintains reports used by all levels of management about the performance of the business unit. This role anticipates the needs of the cross-functional teams and provides connectors for them as they work on the product.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to retirement (requirement gathering, scoping, prototyping, launch, retirement) with cross-functional team input (subject matter experts, content specialists, editorial, production, and marketing).
- Manage, communicate, and document the needs of various relevant functional groups (i.e., sales, marketing, student support, etc.) to support the strategic goals of products and initiatives.
- Manage product setup process with cross-functional team to ensure all teams are prepared for product launches and changes.
- Perform quality assurance in preparation for launch.
- Request, maintain and manage reports for the business unit from shared services (requests, changes, QA).
- Research, analyze, and report on product data such as customer feedback and market changes.
- Support product team in assigned key initiatives on the product roadmap.
- Collaborate on the development of new and updated products.
- Create supporting documentation for sales and marketing the highlights key features and benefits.
- Provide training, support, and guidance for the student support team.
- Assist with marketing to promote products internally & externally.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture, Communications, Economics, Business, Project Management, or related fields
- 1-2 years of experience in project management, report creation and project/market analysis.
- Strong project management skills
- Intermediate in Gsuite products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to shift priorities rapidly
- Ability to perform self-directed work under little supervision

For full-time positions, Kaplan has three salary grades. This position is Salary Grade A: $31,200 to $78,647. The specific compensation offered will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, and market data.
