Your Role:
As a Home Based Supervisoryou will provide leadership and supervision to a team of Home-Based Visitors to ensure the high-quality delivery of Head Start/Early Head Start services. This role focuses on monitoring program compliance, providing reflective supervision, and ensuring that Home-Based Visitors effectively support family development and child outcomes for all backgrounds and abilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Staff Supervision & Coaching: Provide regular reflective supervision and support to Home-Based Visitors to enhance their skills in child development, curriculum implementation, and family engagement.
- Program Monitoring: Monitor the frequency and quality of weekly home visits (46 per year) and group socialization activities (22 per year) to ensure program requirements are met.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation: Conduct regular reviews of electronic database records, observations, and anecdotal notes to ensure accurate documentation of child and family progress.
- Curriculum Leadership: Oversee the implementation of the home-visiting curriculum, ensuring it is individualized and encourages active engagement for children of all abilities.
- Family Success Oversight: Support Home-Based Visitors in the development of "Family Success Road Maps" and monitor the completion of health requirements, screenings, and special needs referrals.
- Case Management Support: Facilitate case conferences to address challenging family situations or child behaviors, identifying preventive measures and community resource connections.
- Professional Development: Identify training needs for the home-based team and facilitate or coordinate professional development opportunities.
- Compliance & Advocacy: Ensure all service areas (health, nutrition, mental health, and disabilities) are integrated into the home-based model and act as a high-level liaison with community partners.
- Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.
What You Bring:
- Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, Social Work or related field required; Masters preferred.
- Experience and skills in assisting parents with advocacy and decision-making. Knowledge of adult learning is a plus.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience, including performance management.
- Minimum of five years of previous experience or related work experience with infants and toddlers required.
- Regular local travel to and from families’ homes, the main office, and program sites, with limited additional travel (up to ~10%) for in-person training and meetings with Shine.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent local travel.
- Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

How Much: The range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 annually.
