Qualifications: Experience in AI and automation implementation, IT security and governance knowledge, and a history of leading cross-functional initiatives.
Location: The role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia with a flexible hybrid work arrangement; candidates may work remotely but should be open to occasional travel to Kelowna.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $130,000 - $180,000.

As a Director of AI & Systems at Minga, reporting to the COO, Pam Boyko you’ll be responsible for improving internal efficiency, clarity, and execution by thoughtfully applying AI, automation, and well-integrated tools across the company.
This role focuses on how work actually gets done: reducing friction, eliminating manual effort, strengthening security, and helping teams use technology more effectively. You will directly influence how we grow, and help build the high-performance teams that make Minga a place people love to work.
What You’ll Do
Internal AI & automation strategy
- Identify where AI agents, automation, and intelligent workflows can meaningfully improve efficiency across teams
- Evaluate when AI is the right tool — and when simpler process or systems changes are better
- Design and deploy internal AI solutions that support functions such as:Customer Success
- Sales & Revenue Operations
- Marketing
- People Operations
- Finance & Operations
Systems & tooling ecosystem
- Maintain a deep understanding of Minga’s internal tools, platforms, and data flows
- Ensure tools work well together and support how teams actually operate
- Reduce tool sprawl, duplication, and unnecessary complexity
- Make clear, practical recommendations on tooling improvements or consolidation
Advisory partnership with leaders
- Act as a thought partner to department leaders on how AI and automation can improve their workflows
- Translate business problems into practical technology solutions
- Provide guidance and recommendations — with context, tradeoffs, and impact — rather than top-down mandates
IT leadership & security
- Lead Minga’s internal IT function through the IT Manager
- Own internal IT strategy, operational resilience, and day-to-day effectiveness
- Be accountable for internal IT security, access controls, and security best practices
- Partner with Security, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders to ensure responsible and secure use of AI and systems
Responsible AI & risk management
- Establish guardrails for internal AI use, including data handling, access, and privacy considerations
- Ensure AI tools and agents are deployed in a way that is transparent, auditable, and aligned with Minga’s values
- Stay informed on evolving AI risks and best practices, without chasing trends
Enablement & change management
- Help teams adopt new tools and workflows successfully
- Improve AI literacy across the organization
- Ensure changes lead to real adoption, not shelfware

What We Require
- Experience designing and implementing AI, automation, and workflow improvements across teams
- Strong understanding of AI tools, systems integrations, and internal tech ecosystems
- Experience optimizing and consolidating business systems (CRM, HRIS, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
- Knowledge of IT operations, security best practices, and data governance
- Ability to translate business challenges into practical, scalable technology solutions
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving real adoption
