Compensation: $130000 - $150000 / Annually

Your Role:
As the Senior Director of Product, you will lead the strategy and growth of Shine Early Learning’s product portfolio, serving as both a strategic product leader and hands-on product manager.
This player-coach role oversees Shine’s suite of early learning products, including the HELP assessment system and HELP Connect digital platform, while guiding product strategy across the broader portfolio.
You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering partners, and internal subject matter experts to ensure Shine’s products continue to deliver meaningful value for educators, programs, and families.
This role also leads a small but high-impact team and serves as the primary internal leader responsible for product delivery, roadmap execution, and product innovation.
What You’ll Do:
Lead Product Vision and Strategy
- Set the direction for Shine’s product portfolio, ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of educators, programs, and families while advancing the organization’s growth and mission.
Own and Evolve the HELP Product Suite
- Serve as the strategic and hands-on leader for the HELP product ecosystem, guiding its continued innovation, quality, and long-term impact.
Drive Product Adoption and Impact
- Champion strategies that help customers successfully adopt and benefit from Shine’s products, including supporting the transition from traditional tools to modern digital solutions.
Collaborate Across the Organization
- Partner with teams across Sales, Marketing, and early learning leadership to ensure strong product-market alignment and successful delivery of solutions that support the field.
Lead and Develop the Product Team
- Coach and support a small, high-impact team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Shape Future Product Opportunities
- Identify opportunities to expand Shine’s product portfolio, helping guide strategic decisions about new solutions that can further advance early learning outcomes.
What You Bring
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience:
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in product management or product leadership
- 3+ years leading teams or managing cross-functional product delivery
- Experience in the education sector required, early childhood education strongly preferred
- Experience with edtech, SaaS, or digital assessment products is highly valued
Skills & Strengths:
- Ability to operate as a player-coach leader balancing strategy and hands-on execution
- Strong experience managing product roadmaps and customer feedback loops
- Experience working with external engineering teams or development vendors
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate customer needs into product solutions
- Passion for improving outcomes for children, educators, and families
