Enhance Legrand AV’s standing and reputation as a thought leader in the AV/IT industry by designing, developing, and providing training and content that aligns with industry trends and emerging market opportunities. Requires highly developed communication capabilities, excellent writing skills, and versatile presentation skills.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work closely with Product Managers, Sales Team, industry partners, and others to identify and define AV industry trends, technology advances, and evolution.
Conduct learning needs analysis with Sales and customers critical to the development and adaptation of Legrand AV’s learning strategy.
Develop content that is engaging and meets the needs of learners in the channels Legrand|AV serves both in person, and online via synchronous and asynchronous education and training events.
Develop and execute plans to communicate and demonstrate Legrand|AV products, solutions, and capabilities to and for industry and company stakeholders.
Partner with LX Team Instructional Designers to create meaningful, memorable and motivational online learning for customers and sales team.
Provide guidance and direction to identify and prioritize high-value sales and customer learning & development initiatives.
Train, mentor and support sales and marketing team members by serving as a world-class subject matter expert.
Provide input and feedback on instructional programs and courses designed and developed by others.
Participate in and/or lead special projects.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
3-5 years of AV or communications system design, application, sales, marketing or strategy experience.
CTS certification or equivalent.
Knowledge and experience of commercial AV, broadcast and communications industry products, services, sales channels and stakeholders.
Knowledge of Legrand products, services, sales channels, and customer segments.
Knowledge of AV science, networking, and wireless communications.
3-5 years of training and presentation experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with experience in translating highly technical concepts into digestible content for varied audiences.
Familiarity with instructional design methodologies and learning science.
A history of successful publication.
Experience designing and providing in-person and online learning events.
Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple relationships, programs and deadlines simultaneously.
Function as a bridge between internal and external stakeholders including industry trade organizations, industry media, channel partners, institutional purchasers, consultants, designers, engineers, integrators and technology end-users.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Or equivalent experience…
Preferred Qualifications:
CTS-D AVIXA certification
Lead instructor for technical boot camps and other industry-related training.
Experience working with course or instructional designers to develop e-learning.
Experience working with sales teams.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard. Duties will occasionally require the employee to stand for long periods of time while presenting/training and to be able to reach above shoulder level, reach below knee level, bend, stoop, squat/kneel; and lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
General office environment.
Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 20% travel.
