The Technical Operations Specialist manages and optimizes the daily activities of maintaining and improving the handling of Information Security Governance Controls within the engineering teams in the Education Technology Services (ETS) division of SEI, focusing on Sophia and Workforce Edge.
As a Technical Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance, process change documentation, managing vendor service renewals, and support for internal audits.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with compliance audits and risk assessments
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance and operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Participate in the development and implementation of best practices, policies, and standards.
- Participate as a team member in the Information Security Governance Committees for Workforce Edge and Sophia.
- Assist with the management of third-party systems.
- Support the onboarding and off boarding process for engineering team members.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical processes and documentation.
- Partner with clients to setup integrations, including data sharing and Single Sign On.
Job Skills:
- Experience working with compliance frameworks

- Preference to those with related educational model/industry.
Work Experience:
- 2+ years in compliance or technical operations roles
- 1+ years of experience with compliance frameworks (SOC2 Preferred)
- 1 year of experience with identity and access management (IAM) systems
- 1 year of experience with contract management and service level agreements (SLAs)
- 1 year of experience implementing security best practices
- 1 year of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- 1 year of vendor management experience (preferred)
- 1 year of experience in working with integrations and SSO.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Certificates, licenses and registrations:
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISA, CRISC, or CompTIA Security+
Other:
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

- Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
