Insignia Federal Group is looking for an Instructional Systems Designer to support one of its federal clients in Northern Virginia. This position has a strong focus on the creation of training templates and course modules to include online interactive learning, video vignettes/podcasts, job aids/quick reference guides, and other supplementary materials in support of and collaboration with other Instructional Designers. This position also includes the creation of 508-compliant graphics and PDFs that support the delivery and marketing of training.
Successful candidate will:
- Use ADDIE methodology, Instructional Systems Development (ISD) and adult learning principles.
- Be proficient with the use of Articulate Storyline and Camtasia
- Work with e-learning development tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, and Audition.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to obtain/extract content for appropriate audiences with minimal supervision.
- Work individually and lead projects, but will also be working in a collaborative team environment as well.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in instructional technology, education, or equivalent discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years proven experience developing training for instructor led and e-learning/web-based training courses or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills for periodic classroom presentation a must.
- Successful candidate will also be highly organized with strong time management skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients and project team at all levels.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems preferred; knowledge of SCORM and AICC, as well as Section 508 compliance design requirements.
