About the Opportunity
The Colleague Senior Analyst position is simultaneously highly technical and interpersonal in nature. The position involves working with users in administrative departments to assess, recommend, build, deliver, train and support solutions to business needs, primarily by supporting the University’s use of the Ellucian Colleague ERP, ancillary systems, and 3rd party products. The successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of these various applications and how they share data to maximize client effectiveness. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience with, and a passion for: technology, process, learning, collaboration, and higher education. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer.
Where you will make an impact
- Identifying technical specifications by working with users to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
- Creating custom code to integrate applications or automate processes in PowerShell and specialized automation applications.
- Writing SQL against the Colleague, ODS and other SQL databases and using it to construct reports using Excel and other reporting tools.
- Developing robust test plans and leading in their execution to find and correct errors and to confirming that solutions being delivered meet requirements and specifications.
- Writing and maintaining documentation of procedures, computer code, programs, integrations,
- and specifications – including both narrative and diagrams.
- Leading integration efforts including collaborating with vendors and clients, gathering information, and implementing solutions using standard procedures.
- Training end-users or technical support staff to use and support programs.
- Monitoring performance of programs after implementation including troubleshooting of various integrations.
- Providing functional and technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors,
- problems, or questions about software, processes and reporting, and access.
- Troubleshooting errors and issues encountered by end-users and provides resolution in a timely manner.
What you will bring
- 5+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education in systems analysis, design, support, and programming in Colleague ERP (Equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience may be considered.)
- Working knowledge of Ellucian Colleague ERP required.
- Experience with MS Office 365 and SharePoint for office productivity and collaboration.
- Knowledge of higher education core business processes required.
- High degree of creativity with a “can-do” attitude; display high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to set and change priorities amongst multiple competing constituencies, projects, and resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and SQL.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing system
- Experience supporting Single Sign On (SSO) - Ellucian ETHOS Identity Services a big plus.
- Functional Knowledge of Ellucian Experience
- Familiarity with Ellucian Data Model
- Experience supporting Ellucian CRM Recruit
- Experience in Ellucian Ethos api and Data Connect
- Experience with Microsoft Azure administration
- Experience/ knowledge of Ellucian Insights
