Today, 67% of students and 82% of low-income students can’t read at grade level by the end of third grade. That’s when you are supposed to go from learning to read to reading to learn. It’s America’s number one education crisis and we know how to fix it.
Ignite teaches kids to read by providing 15 minutes a day of 1:1 virtual reading instruction. We focus on the reading fundamentals (letters, phonics, and sight words) kids need to master so they can decode a sentence. Our program accelerates reading progress 2.4x and we are disrupting how schools think about reading instruction.
Ignite launched our first school implementation in the fall of 2021. Sixteen months later, we will have grown our number of schools and students 35x.

Your Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our CEO in this exempt role. Reporting to the VP, People Operations, this role will sit on the People Operations team while working directly with the CEO. As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, you’ll manage the CEO’s calendar, travel arrangements, accommodations, and all logistics for business trips. You will also support with the planning and execution of leadership team retreats, facilitation of communication with internal and external stakeholders, and other key functions that enhance the CEO’s productivity and ability to successfully lead the company.
The ideal candidate will possess strong emotional intelligence and communication skills, outstanding organizational skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex and dynamic environments with ease. This pivotal role requires a proactive individual who can anticipate the CEO's needs, uphold the highest level of confidentiality, and facilitate seamless communication.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the CEO's complex and changing calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements with attention to detail.
- Screen and prioritize incoming email communications and respond to or redirect inquiries as necessary.
- Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and materials for meetings and engagements, ensuring the CEO is well-informed and prepared for all interactions.
- As needed, accompany the CEO in virtual meetings, taking detailed notes, tracking action items, and following up on outstanding tasks to ensure timely resolution.
- Oversee the CEO's administrative workflow, tracking deadlines, priorities, and deliverables to ensure optimal productivity and time management.
- Maintain organized electronic filing systems.
- Assist with projects and assignments as the CEO directs, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to evolving priorities.
- Coordinate logistics for leadership team meetings, events, and offsites; manage accommodations, materials, and reservations.
- Other critical tasks as needed.
Competencies
- 5+ years proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role supporting C-level executives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with the Google Business Suite (Calendar, Drive, Gmail), Slack, Adobe, and Docusign.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a demonstrated ability to anticipate needs, exercise good judgment, and take initiative to drive results.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work under pressure.
- San Francisco Bay Area location preferred

Salary: $90,000
