JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented RFP, Bids, and Solicitation Writer to join their team specializing in the education sector. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing compelling and compliant proposals, bids, and solicitations in response to requests from educational institutions and government agencies. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing abilities, a strong understanding of educational needs and requirements, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proposal Development:
- Write, edit, and proofread proposals, bids, and solicitations according to specified requirements and guidelines.
- Ensure all proposals are clear, persuasive, and tailored to the specific needs of educational clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, sales teams, and other stakeholders to gather information and insights for proposals.
Research and Analysis:
- Research educational trends, client requirements, and competitor offerings to inform proposal content and strategy.
- Analyze RFPs and solicitations to identify key requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance issues.
Project Management:
- Manage the proposal development process from kickoff to submission, adhering to deadlines and meeting all deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information, data, and resources for proposal development.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure proposals comply with all requirements and formatting guidelines specified in RFPs and solicitations.
- Perform quality assurance checks to review and refine proposal content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Relationship Building:
- Build relationships with educational clients, stakeholders, and partners to understand their needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to support business growth and client engagement efforts.
Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Stay informed about trends, challenges, and opportunities within the education sector.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and positioning strategies.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, keeping management informed of progress toward targets.
- Utilize CRM systems to maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as an RFP, bids, or solicitation writer in the education sector or related field.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong research and analytical skills to gather and synthesize information effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of educational technology, curriculum development, and industry trends (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Education, or a related field (preferred).
