Content Area or Department Brief Description:
The Sr. Human Resources Representative will provide a high level of technical skill and expertise to a variety of critical tasks. The individual must be able to deliver timely and high-quality results and provide high level support to the Human Resources Talent Manager. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and effectively delivery of Human Resources services.
Reporting to the Human Resources Talent Manager, this position provides support to the Human Resources team by applying knowledge and experience including but not limited to the following duties:
- Assists Human Resources Talent Manager with compliance requirements, reporting and monitoring trends
- Provides compliance self-audits; provides reporting and recommendations and as appropriate, acts to remedy found items
- Creates Smartsheets and/or additional HRMS tools to provide best access and usability to internal clients
- Provides assistance to background screening team when necessary
- Contributes efforts in the Performance Evaluation and Planning process and related support activities
- Monitor and responds to unemployment claims
- Participate in Exit and Stay Interviews as needed
- Handle assigned employee relations activity
- Assists with intranet page updates and development as assigned
- Track, monitor and resolve helpdesk tickets as assigned
- Provide support on special projects as needed
- Assist with Conflict-of-Interest disclosure reviews as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
- A minimum of 8 years of related human resources experience. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, (including advanced Excel skills). Smartsheet experience is a plus.
- Proficient with Human Resources Management software (UKG/Ultipro is a plus)

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The full salary range for this position, WestEd level 10, is $90,000 to $135,000 but WestEd does not typically hire at or near the top of the salary range. The typical hiring range for this role is $90,000 to $112,500. The actual offer takes into account multiple factors including but not limited to education; experience; internal equity, and other organizational needs.
In addition to the base salary, benefits include:
- 15% contribution toward retirement effective day 1 of employment
