As part of the Marketing Team at Everyday Speech, the Lead Product Marketing Manager will engage closely with our Marketing, Revenue, and Product teams. Your mission will be to create our foundations of product marketing excellence including the creation of compelling value propositions, development of go-to-market strategy, and design of impactful messaging and adoption strategies.
As the founding Product Marketer at Everyday Speech, this is an exceptional opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic leader to shape how educators and students interact with and perceive our product in the marketplace. You will be at the forefront of driving change and advancing social communication and social-emotional learning within classrooms across the country.

Your contributions will be crucial in creating product positioning and messaging, leading launches of products/packaging, and guiding leads through their journey. By doing so, you will play a key role in meeting our company growth goals, driving revenue, and helping educators across the country discover and fall in love with our products.
In this role, you will:
- Operate as a true expert, building our product marketing infrastructure from scratch and working autonomously to get what you need from across the company.
- Craft compelling product narratives, developing unique positioning and messaging based on customer insights and market data.
- Enable others to tell the story of our products, by training sales team members with demo scripts and discovery questions and partner with other marketers to define and coordinate marketing and channel strategies, and create diverse content to support your go-to-market strategies. .
- Strengthen our robust bottoms-up educator champion driver PLG motion by integrating our emerging top-down, enterprise strategy.
- Collaborate with product and sales teams to be the voice of our market, by infusing market insights into our understanding of our customers.
- Design and iterate on our product launch playbook for Everyday Speech and lead the cross-functional effort to ensure the success of every launch.
- Gain a deep understanding of our market and buyer journey to tailor content and messaging for each stage, including conducting market research, focus groups, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation efforts.
- Stay informed about education trends, emerging technologies, competitors, and best practices in educational technology adoption.

Experience and Expertise:
- At least 5 years in Product Marketing or a similar role, preferably within a fast-growing SaaS environment or EdTech/Education.
- Experience developing product positioning and messaging, and creating systems for sharing that messaging across the organization.
- Experience leading projects and effectively managing competing priorities.
- Experience effectively partnering with Product, Revenue, and Marketing teams.
Skills and Capabilities:
- Exceptional writing, speaking, and visual storytelling skills to a variety of audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, adept at deriving insights and making data-driven decisions from both qualitative customer interviews and quantitative marketing metrics.
Work Style and Environment:
- Able to work completely independently, pull in others as needed, and drive strategic decision-making for product marketing.
- Excited about working in a fast-paced, fully remote team.
In the short term (the first 3 months), you will:
Month 1:
- Onboarding: Meet key leaders, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders, review product materials and market data, and rapidly build a strong understanding of the product, market, and company culture.
- Initial Research and Analysis: Conduct gap analysis in current product marketing efforts, begin competitor analysis, and gather information for case studies.
Month 2:
- Complete competitor analysis and continue gap analysis.
- Develop preliminary product positioning strategy and draft product positioning documents.
Month 3:
- Finalize product positioning documents and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
- Complete and revise the first 2-3 case studies based on feedback.
In the Long term, you will:
- Lead strategic product marketing efforts aligned with company goals, leveraging market insights and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Continuously improve on our product narratives and refine value propositions based on market feedback and evolving customer needs.
- Oversee product marketing campaigns and content strategy to drive product awareness, adoption, and engagement.
- Build strong customer relationships, advocate for customer needs, and represent Everyday Speech at industry events.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and achieve goals for product adoption and revenue growth.
- Mentor marketing talent, foster cross-functional teamwork, and influence organizational strategies and initiatives.
Salary: $142,000 USD annually
