First Book is looking for a Data Analytics Specialist, with a strong background in eCommerce, to help us continue to drive data-driven decision making using powerful insights across our organization. The person in this role will be accountable for gathering, delivering, and analyzing trusted data to provide analytical insights regarding First Book’s overall eCommerce performance. This performance is defined by the various metrics and indicators that evaluate the organization’s ability across the entire funnel from member acquisition to conversion and reengagement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Develop, design, maintain, and improve comprehensive performance reports and KPI frameworks to monitor eCommerce performance. Provide recommendations based on findings.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing to provide bi-monthly deep dive analysis of digital channel performance: marketing campaigns and eCommerce. Describe the situation of the business, explain fluctuations, and provide valuable suggestions and key takeaways.
- Using both external and internal data sources and systems, produce and maintain regular dashboards and reports that enable stakeholders to self-serve and access information efficiently, as necessary. Perform ad-hoc analyses as required to support strategic decision making.
- Lead support for analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Looker Studio. This includes but is not limited to providing access; setting up tags/events/audiences/dimensions/etc.; creating custom reports and visualizations; data and tracking validation checks, and managing any discrepancy resolutions with IT; and collaborating on cross-system data tracking.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define tracking requirements and implement tags and/or data attributes for new site features or projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform investigations during metric change events. Effectively communicate changes in metrics, insights, and recommendations to all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide technical support for testing and recommendations to continuously improve eCommerce performance. Support the coordination/implementation/evaluation of A/B tests on the website.
- Collaborate with IT to improve our tech stack, identify and close data capture gaps, and enhance data accessibility and usability.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in eCommerce analytics, data visualization, and emerging technologies for data analytics.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics.
- 3+ years proven experience working in digital analytics, specifically in eCommerce.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency using and managing digital analytics tools, specifically Google Analytics (UA & GA4).
- Proficiency using Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.) to create dashboards and tell data stories through visualizations.
- Experience working with Salesforce.
- Experience and interest in A/B Testing, including hypotheses-generation, test set-up, analysis, and presentation of results.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify trends and patterns in the data using quantitative, qualitative, and exploratory data analysis skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Great communication and presentation skills. Ability to present complex information with clear recommendations based on data insights.
