WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Finance Manager, Corporate FP&A role is critical to the Corporate FP&A team as he/she interacts across several departments to provide reporting and insightful analysis. This role is responsible for FP&A activities surrounding cash planning and reporting as well as owning the planning and analysis for Ascend’s revenue.
WHERE YOU’LL WORK
This position will work hybrid from our Leawood, KS office.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Own Revenue FP&A; responsible for planning and analysis for revenue forecasts, annual plans, and long-rang plan; also prepare revenue reports and analytics on a monthly or quarterly basis that enable decision making by the business; highlight important takeaways in concise executive summaries
- Own cash forecasting and planning. Entails understanding key drivers impacting cash and collaborating with Treasurer to ensure alignment on activities affecting cash.
- Support preparation of Executive presentation materials. Often requires frequent communication with Senior Executives to determine how best to articulate financial results and plans/budgets.
- Organize and prepare key materials in support of lender communications.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and financial analyses at multiple levels of complexity, including cost analysis, and financial and expense performance comparisons
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as Business Administration, Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, or other areas combined with relevant work experience is preferred
- 7+ years of Finance/Accounting experience; prior FP&A experience strongly preferred
- Solid grasp of finance with very high level of attention to detail and quality output.
- Ability to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
- Collaborative in approach and working style.
- Comfortable working in an environment with frequent tight deadlines.
- Advanced excel and powerpoint skills. Datawarehouse, Microsoft BI or Tableau background a plus. Prior experience with FP&A system preferred.
