Job Title: Instructional Designer,

Location(s): Oakland, CA

Design and develop or maintain eLearning for safety, compliance or systems topics using Articulate Storyline following established instructional design methodologies.
Engage cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content. Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content, and assessments.
Complete a detailed analysis of each task to be trained/supported for target audience, business process, and systems.
Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including storyboards, eLearning modules, activities, scenarios, assessments, or performance support.
Visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions. Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.
Participate in meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha and beta meetings. Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation.
Receive and incorporate feedback. Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables. Proactively communicate issues and risks.
Available to work during core business hours in Pacific time zone.

Top Things Looking For

Strong instructional design experience.
Strong Storyline or eLearning development experience
Proactive to achieve results with an attention to detail

Skills:

3+ years’ experience developing eLearning and performance support for software applications.
Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
Strong knowledge of Articulate Storyline, PowerPoint, and Word
Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed
