Job Summary:
The Narrative Content Editor champions compelling narrative content for Cornerstone’s Immerse team. This role ensures relatable storytelling across all content, overseeing interactive writing, story structure, and gamification derived from dialogue-based gameplay. It involves editorial practices, writing, leveraging generative AI, and direct customer interaction.
While this role is largely focused on editorial practices and coordination of narrative material (from either internal or external writing resources), this individual should also have the skills and enthusiasm for writing content, utilizing generative AI for customer use cases, and working directly with customers.
In this role you will…
- Content Oversight:
- Act as editor for all learning narrative content, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to narrative best practices.
- Supervise writing for story-driven projects, providing guidance and feedback to writers.
- Ensure that narrative design is consistent with Cornerstone Immerse’s design philosophies and XR-for-enterprise goals.
- Encourage and support writers to innovate and create learning experiences which explore new ways to utilize the tool.
- Team Oversight:
- Manage freelance writers, narrative designers, and vendors.
- Exhibit strong project management skills: maintain project schedules, manage narrative-related invoicing, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify and manage external staffing needs for writing production.
- Narrative Design & Documentation:
- Craft compelling interactive stories and dialogues.
- Implement interactive story structure and dialogue in-platform.
- Collaborate with customers to resolve narrative and creative issues.
- Develop prompts to enhance AI-generated content quality.
- Document the Immerse team’s narrative design principles and best practices.
- Provide training for Immerse Creator Tool users.
- Explore AI
- Help mature generative AI practices and productization efforts to broaden use cases while ensuring high quality learning outcomes are reached.
- Utilize generative AI tools to enhance content ideation and script writing.
- Design prompts for AI to generate accurate, creative outputs.
- Use AI tools for dialogue generation, content expansion, and rapid prototyping.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with:
- Learning team to ensure narrative design supports skill development and knowledge acquisition.
- Production team to ensure deliverable timing and quality standards are met.
- Provide support and guidance for customers creating learning modules.
- Work with the Product team as they develop tools that support interactive writing within the platform.

- Proficiency in narrative design and interactive storytelling, especially in VR, AR, or web-based platforms.
- Strong grasp of narrative structure, dialogue-based gameplay, and gamification.
- Skilled in no-code authoring tools, narrative design software, and branched dialogue.
- High interest in using generative AI as part of creative and narrative workflows
- Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
- Project management skills, including resource forecasting and timeline management.
- Strong communication and collaboration capabilities.
- Knowledge of soft skills development and educational technology trends.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompt engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, Narrative Design, Instructional Design, or equivalent experience.
