The Curriculum Specialist at McGraw Hill are former educators who become product specialists and master presenters with a background in Grades 6-12. As part of our secondary grades business, you’ll be part of a team that creates robust digital tools, curriculum and learning solutions in a variety of formats that are used by millions of educators and students every day.
This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah or Washington State and be about 60 miles from a major airport. - Deliver highly effective sales presentations of our products to internal and external customers.
- Foster relationships and leverage knowledge to increase sales.
- Conduct professional development and in-service training of all products for new and current users.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of selected products.
- Conduct Training for the internal sales force.
- Build strong relationships with sales team members.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of teaching experience in Secondary Grades.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and online/web-based tools.
- Must have versatile technology skills.
- Must be able to travel overnight often (85%).
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must live near a major metropolitan airport.
- Previous experience with curriculum selection preferred.
- Can develop rapport with an audience and effectively and strategically respond to audience questions.
- Previous teaching experience with McGraw Hill secondary math programs a plus
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
This is a 10-month position with the month of December off and an additional 4 weeks off between April – July. Annual salary will be prorated based on 10 working months and paid over 12 months. Vacation time will also be prorated based on 10 working months, and the pay range for this position is between $60,000-$80,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
