About the Role
The Clinical Editor, Drug Information is responsible for the generation of drug information in oncology. You review, evaluate, and synthesize medical literature, therapeutic guidelines, product labels, and other health-related information. Supporting Elsevier's databases and end-user products. You will report to the Senior Manager of Drug Information.
Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively within a team of clinician editors. Creating and maintaining evidence-based drug information for use across Elsevier products.
- Maintaining content in drug information and keeping abreast of clinical practices and customer needs.
- Monitoring and critically evaluating scientific literature, practice guidelines, regulatory guidance, and prescribing information. In order to create clinically relevant content for use by a variety of health care professionals and patients.
- Developing and maintaining drug monographs and related content. Including data utilized in integrated solutions in accordance with editorial and style guidelines.
- Ensuring content is concise, clearly written, and well organized. Submits work for careful review and welcomes constructive feedback; continually refines writing and data analysis skills.
- Contributing to team projects, and collaborating with other pharmacist, physician, and nursing editors.
- Working efficiently, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and consistently meets deadlines.
Requirements
- Have a pharmacist license with residency training. Additionally, a minimum of two to five clinical experience years. (Within the US highly valued.)
- Have in-depth knowledge and clinical experience in hematology and oncology, with emphasis on safety and monitoring.
- Board Certified in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) valued.
- Be able to deliver results working with individuals of all seniority levels within a complex, matrixed environment
- Be an influential communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
