The Associate Vice President of Bids, Proposals, and Contracts plays a pivotal role in overseeing essential steps in the cycle of customers purchasing Amplify solutions. This includes bidding on competitive procurement and reaching final pricing and terms agreements. The role involves working with team leaders to ensure effective processes are implemented and followed, leading teams of stakeholders across the company, and contributing directly to producing high-quality customer-facing proposals.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Bids, Proposals, and Deal Desk.
Responsibilities:
Pricing:
- Manage negotiations of pricing and/or terms with customers in coordination with SVP, Deal Desk, Legal, Sales, and other stakeholder teams
Lead cross-functional teams through customer negotiations
- Produce high-quality internal and customer-facing documentation with support from team members throughout the negotiation process
- Coordinate financial analysis with the Finance team to provide decision-makers with the necessary data
- Ensure that all relevant teams are aware of negotiation outcomes
- Participate in customer-facing meetings as appropriate in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success teams
Bids:
- Oversee the RFP Bids team and ensure the creation of effective bid responses
- Ensure an effective bids process
- Contribute to bid strategy and submissions
Order Management/Contracts:
- Oversee the Order Management and Contracts teams to ensure the timely processing and execution of customer orders and contracts
- Ensure effective processes across both teams
- Coordinate negotiation of substantive terms in customer agreements across stakeholder teams
Management/Leadership:
- Manage and guide the Bids, Order Management, and Contracts teams
- Nurture the teams by developing and retaining top talent
- Create a collaborative, team-oriented environment that includes mentoring and motivating team members to be accountable.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Fastidious attention to detail
- Deadline-driven and customer-focused
- 10+ years of experience with a K-12 education company
- 3+ years of financial modeling and/or budgeting
- Proven ability to work across organizations and highly diverse stakeholders with effective project and process management, communication, and leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with RFP bids and/or contracts
- Experience working for or with Sales teams
- Excellent presentation skills

The gross annualized salary range for this role is $160,000 - $175,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
