How can you make an impact?
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing domestic and international logistics functions and providing technical guidance in support of operational readiness, supply chain management, transportation, and associated activities within operations. Individual interacts daily with distribution center shipping teams, MH operations, managed transportation supplier, and multiple carriers to ensure that all shipments are processed efficiently and effectively. Individual manipulates and combines multiple data sets to create meaningful information and then analyzes that information to develop recommended operational courses of action or changes. Individual assists in preparation and review of commercial invoices, AES filings, ocean bills of lading, Letters of Instruction and other relevant paperwork.
This position is remote and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for manipulating multiple data sets and using software tools to combine the data to create meaningful information.
- Responsible for analyzing data and developing recommendations for operational courses of action.
- Communicates with distribution center management, CSOM, operations, managed transportation supplier, and multiple carriers to ensure that all shipping requirements are understood.
- In conjunction with other departments, develops/modifies processes and procedures related to Logistics/Operations to improve accuracy, effectiveness, and/or efficiency. Those processes frequently involve internal Enterprise Resource Planning and various external operations and logistics systems.
- Responsible for coordination and logistics of international orders and associated documentation and the organization of the documents with relevance to the country and customer.
- Must be able to address and engage multi-functional teams, as necessary, to ensure customer and business sustainability
- Builds systems based processes to automate or improve routine tasks.notification to customer of best available delivery option.
- Assists in arranging ocean/air import shipments to include customs clearance, ISF, commercial invoicing and packing list requirements.
- Assists in management and problem resolution associated with domestic and international shipments.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, business, or associated discipline or
- Minimum of 3-5 years of successful Logistics experience.
- Strong financial/analytical skills, with an aptitude for understanding business environment and translating business requirements to technical solutions.
- Strong administrative/operations background and a working knowledge of Windows based computer programs, MS Office
- Systems knowledge and/or experience in Oracle OTC, Alteryx, Tableau, warehouse management systems and transportation management systems.
- Skilled at managing time and priorities to meet ongoing, multiple deadlines with impeccable attention to detail and follow up.
- Flexible and creative in discovering and implementing new procedures; excellent communication with great organizational and people skills (verbal & written).
- Ability to develop and manage the implementation of new processes to improve efficiencies across the company.
- Communicate between the logistics department, distribution operations, and buyers with ETAs of arriving containers so proper staffing can be put into place at the correct unloading facility
- Continuously stay current on market conditions, including market rates, delays, impactful events and new opportunities.
- Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; process-oriented mindset with superior analytical skills and creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
The pay range for this position is between $54,550-$57,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
