Description:
The Language Specialist, Digital Production, works closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, helping to deliver against project plans. This person is dedicated to the localization production for a specific Amplify business suite, and must possess the detailed knowledge of the content matter, pedagogy, our platform and authoring tools, and processes. The Language Specialist, Digital Production may occasionally be asked to work on projects or initiatives outside of their assigned business suite to help Digital Production meet their department-wide priorities or deliverables.
**This is a contract position working up to 40 hrs per week. **
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear communication channels among cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment of vision and implementation
- Complete assigned day-to-day production tasks; update trackers and documentation
- Assemble, organize, and author into our content management systems; Review, QA, and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Modify and enhance curriculum content to integrate and exemplify available technology and design
- Contribute to the continued development and maintenance of products
- Contribute to ongoing improvements to workflow and production pathways
- Contribute to strategic thinking around content models that adapt, scale and expand over time and distribution platforms
Basic Qualifications:
- Native Spanish speaker; Fluent English speaker
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of proven experience translating English to Spanish
- 3+ years of experience working in digital production, with a history of successfully delivering digital products
- Ability to apply established style guidelines, terms, and phrases consistently
- Ability to work across a variety of styles and content types
- Experience in trans-creating content for targeted audiences
- Experience working in a translation management system (XTM, Trados, Phrase)
- Experience with asset and content management systems
- Experience using project planning and tracking applications
- Experience collaborating with a team
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with full project lifecycles, from concept to delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; creativity and objective-oriented focus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in education
- Experience in digital content strategy, production and development
- Experience working in agile software development
- Experience working with CSS, HTML or other coding and markup languages
- Experience using Slack, Jira, Bynder, Smartsheets, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace
Compensation:
The hourly rate range for this role is $36-$40.
