About the Teams:
We have openings to join multiple teams:
Product: Our product teams develop and maintain features that support core study activities such as Flashcards, Test, Learn, and Set Page. They also support growth, ads, engagement, and subscriptions feature development and maintenance.
Platform: Our platform teams focus on building and maintaining the core infrastructure and foundational components of our mobile apps. They ensure app scalability, performance, and robustness. These teams provide technical leadership, optimize performance, and support product teams in delivering high-quality features.
About the Role:
We are hiring iOS Developers at various levels, from mid-level to more experienced software engineers.
As an iOS Developer at Quizlet, you will design, build, and maintain our iOS applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Data Science, Data Analytics, Product Support, and User Research, to create engaging and effective study tools.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco office hubs.
In this role, you will:
- Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
What you bring to the table:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience building iOS apps
Skills:
- Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C
- Understanding of RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Experience with Apple frameworks (e.g., SwiftUI, CoreData, StoreKit)
- Familiarity with software design patterns, data structures, and unit testing
Attributes:

- Ability to lead projects and mentor junior developers
- Track record of building and maintaining high-quality iOS applications
- Ability to handle complex technical challenges

The total compensation for the following roles are market competitive depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options.
- iOS Engineer starting base salary range is between $105,000 - $150,000
- Sr. iOS Engineer starting base salary range is between $130,000 - $185,000
