Position overview: The Coach Mentor is responsible for managing Teaching Strategies' brand presence and voice across the Teaching Strategies Community platform in order to build a highly engaged following and grow subject matter knowledge. The Mentor manages a caseload of customer coaches, providing them with expert guidance on product use and best practices in various formats such as group discussion, one-on-one discussions, live PLCs, and by developing compelling posts and responses within discussion forums. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Coaching, this individual will help drive brand loyalty, excitement around new releases and be ambassadors of our mission. This role will work closely with the education, professional development, and product teams within the organization.
Specific roles and responsibilities:
- Manages a caseload of coaches and other educational leaders, and creates opportunities to foster meaningful professional relationship with this group.
- Creates a regular cadence of communication and engagement with assigned coaches and responds to questions in a timely manner.
- Collaborates with Senior Manager of Coaching and other colleagues to develop discussion content to share within discussion groups and in weekly Professional Learning Community cohorts.
- Holds weekly office hours for coach support and schedule one-on-one meetings with assigned coaches as requested.
- Reads and responds to discussion in the Coaches' Corner forum on a daily basis.
- Develops and delivers Professional Development content for coaches and other educational leaders based on current best practices in early childhood education and instructional coaching.
- Performs research on current topics, trends and best practices in coaching and educational leadership to support coaching work.
- Collaborates with product development and product marketing teams to define content themes and potential story lines.
- Sets specific objectives for each engagement with large and small groups within cohort.
- Occasional domestic travel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in early childhood education or related field; master's preferred and/or 3 years in partner-facing, Ed-Tech, or
- Saas role
- Minimum of 3 years serving in an educational coaching or similar educational leadership role
- Experience establishing and communicating performance and quality metrics aligned with organizational goals
- Self-directed and strong drive for success
- Takes responsibility for work and has a strong sense of project/work management
- Ability to research, listen, and identify client needs based on assessment conversations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Project management skills
- Ability to learn new technology applications
- Ability to travel 10% of time
- Working knowledge of, or experience in, the early childhood field
- Working knowledge of Teaching Strategies products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
