Sourcebooks Landmark is seeking a motivated Marketing & Publicity Assistant to join our best-in-class team at our headquarters in Naperville, Illinois. In this entry-level role, you’ll work closely with the Landmark team to help promote our exciting titles and connect with readers.
As a Marketing & Publicity Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our publicity outreach, digital marketing, and influencer efforts, contributing to the success of our bestselling titles and authors. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated individual who is enthusiastic about adult fiction and eager to gain hands-on experience in an innovative, reader-led publishing environment.
This is a hybrid position, requiring in-person work at our Naperville office at least 3 days a week.
Marketing & Publicity Assistant Responsibilities:
- Submit titles for trade reviews, coordinate seasonal pitches, facilitate media mailings, and help maintain media lists and publicity trackers.
- Assist with influencer program sign-ups, seasonal e-ARC blasts, and early reader ARC mailings.
- Organize printed materials and swag in the Naperville office and assist with creative development of assets.
- Book travel for authors, coordinate event materials, and attend select events to assist with set-up and engagement.
- Assist with creative development for select assets, including social media graphics.
- Manage select author communications, including but not limited to e-book deals and retail promotions.
- Assist with various digital marketing tasks, such as organizing Goodreads giveaways.
- Perform additional departmental duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and consumer design software such as Canva.
- A willingness and ability to collaborate with others and thrive within a culture of shared ideas.
- Strong creative perspective including writing skills and visual instincts, an experimental mindset, and a drive to discover new ideas.
