Sr. Implementation Project Manager - Student Solution
Location Requirements: Hybrid to Austin office. Remote candidates will be considered.
Your role on the team:
This individual will play a critical role in leading and coordinating multiple large, complex projects simultaneously and associated deliverables during the implementation phases. This includes scope, risk mitigation, communication, timelines, milestones, and resources.
The Sr. Implementation Project Manager will effectively manage project work across several teams and clients, often requiring considerable resources. This change agent should have a proven track record of taking projects from original concept through close out. This role facilitates and interfaces with all resources affected by the project including clients, stakeholders, or vendors. They will ensure adherence to quality standards, adequate communication at every level, and monitor project deliverables to achieve on time completion, within scope and budget. This is a unique opportunity to improve the overall effectiveness of project execution while mitigating the risk of negative impact to our internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone with an empathic level of client engagement, excellent project management skills, strong communicator, and presenter with an eye for detail to have an immediate impact.
You can expect to:
- Plans, manages, and delivers multiple concurrent complex and strategic Frontline implementation and multi-solution projects leveraging quality project management standards, work products, and processes.
- Facilitates/develops detailed project plans and manages project deliverables and project team in line with that project plan.
- Leads the entire lifecycle of a project including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and close out.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to manage project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and estimated resources needed.
- Ensures that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements. Understands and owns project delivery with focus on customer satisfaction and accelerating customer time to value.
- Creates, updates, maintains and adheres to all required project documentation based on Frontline project management methodology and templates to fulfill contractual obligations
- Creates, manages, and distributes project communications artifacts like charters, schedules, budgets, and RAID Logs.
- Provides project status updates and other management reports for both internal and external clients, which may require creating and delivering presentations
- Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the project, including project risks, action items, issues, and decisions. Facilitates project status review meetings.
- Communicates routinely to management, customers, project team members, and other stakeholders, actively soliciting and addressing customer and project team feedback.
- Works with customer project sponsors to provide strategic direction for project delivery from initiation to project completion.
- Monitors, records, and manages project issues and escalations, when necessary. Escalates issues as appropriate to ensure successful completion of projects, including immediate escalation to leadership and executives on any issues impacting service.
- Manages project scope, project acceptance (sign-off), and project change control. Manages, motivates the project team, and resolves team conflicts.
- Assists with onboarding of new team members to implement customer projects successfully based on Frontline methodology.
- Promotes and maintains a positive relationship with other client service staff and departments to support the successful implementation of Frontline products and services.
- Understand Frontline’s solutions and how our solutions address K-12 market needs.
- Maintain a pulse on upsell opportunities including cross-selling, additional services, and partnerships. Upsell professional services, routing through the proper Client Success processes.
What you bring to the role:
- Excellent project management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation.
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong grasp of current communication, project tracking, budget management technologies.
- Excellent meeting, workshop, and conference facilitation skills, with proven knowledge of how to foster attendee participation and collaboration in small and large groups.
- Knowledge and experience of with different project management frameworks
- Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to recognize and understand the K-12 education technology market.
- K-12 experience preferred but not required.
- PMP preferred but not required.
This role requires:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and effective delivery of products or services.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer facing SAAS-based business; 7+ years preferred
- Must be able to travel at least 20% of the time.
