SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Sales Ops Coordinator (SOC) supports the Director of Market Development and customers by providing oversight, customer service, coordination, and facilitation through all internal process for project business which are defined by complexity and not necessarily dollar amount. The successful execution of the role will increase the customer experience, improve efficiency in project execution and reduce margin erosion.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serves customer interface. Acts as a primary point of contact for customer support. Responsible for regularly providing updates to customers throughout the project life cycle prior to the purchase order and will assist the PM after the PO is received.
• Assist in marketing coordination with local agencies and sponsors. Working on planning activities with architect partners
• Establishes a pre-PO project milestone schedule working with the customer’s target install date and target PO date alongside the full project team assigned.
• Manages deadlines and meets established milestone target dates to ensure timely purchasing of project to meet installation window.
• Prepares and reviews a purchase-ready project quote which meets acceptable Meteor established margins.
• Removes roadblocks that interfere with meeting customer expectations.
• Develops best practices to minimize team challenges and inefficiencies.
• Takes responsibility for errors and ensures the team is accountable for any oversights that hinder the successful completion of deliverables.
• Responsible for setup of full internal and external project plan and calendar/events in Insights
project interface customer portal alongside the project team.
• Coordinates activities between Director of Market Development Interior Designer, Project Coordinator, Learning Experience Coordinator, and Project Manager (internal project team).
• Schedules video call project status meetings with internal project team ensuring everyone is on track to meet agreed upon milestone dates.
• Assists with the initial project brief and attends the project turnover to the assigned Project Manager.
• Attends in-person and virtual all key customer meetings with the Director of Market Development to record detailed notes and ensure accuracy and efficiency in revision processes.
• Requires travel to customer meetings such as but not limited to, driving out of one’s hometown and/or flying to another city if needed.
• Must be geographically located and available to travel to customer meetings.
• Project Management – Demonstrates knowledge of bringing together organizational resources, timelines, and communications to achieve project deadlines on time and with team member acceptance. Adjusts actions in relation to others' actions, situational needs, and limited resources.
• Mathematics – Knowledge of general industry calculation methods (such as MSRP vs. NET Cost vs. SELL Price), manufacture discount structures, ratios to percentages, statistics, gross profit margins, and cost-plus method.
• Internal Customer Service – Provides a positive experience to fellow employees and departments within Meteor. Works cooperatively to harmonize processes and procedures and negotiate expectations.
• External Customer Service – Provides stellar customer service when interacting with customers by clearly communicating and using positive language that represents Meteor. This may include customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures of our systems and additional file management and system updates.

NOTE: All Meteor new hires are expected to attend an in-person cultural orientation which requires travel to our home office in Gainesville, FL. Employees may also be required to travel and attend annual company meetings and events. All business-related travel expenses will be paid for by Meteor per our company travel and expense policy.
