As a Commercial Product Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of our Nursing product line, ensuring that it aligns with business goals and customer needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to bring innovative products to market and ensure their ongoing success.
Primary/Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy: Collaborate with the Product Owner, Nursing on product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company objectives and market demands.
- Market Research: Direct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, pain points, and opportunities for product innovation.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth execution of product initiatives.
- Requirements Gathering: Gather and document product requirements based on input from stakeholders, customers, and data insights.
- Product Development: Work closely with development teams to prioritize features, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure successful product launches.
- Performance Analysis: Track and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) to assess the success of product features and make data-driven decisions for future development.
- Customer Focus: Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that products meet customer expectations and deliver value.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle from inception to launch and beyond, ensuring continuous improvements and updates.
- Communication: Provide clear and concise communication regarding product updates, timelines, and challenges to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Agile Methodology: Lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to maintain an efficient and collaborative development process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Study in the areas of Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology ideal. Study in the area of healthcare is also an option.
- 4+ Years experience in Product Management
- Product Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead a product from concept to launch and beyond, while incorporating user needs and data-driven insights.
- Educational Technology Knowledge: Understands the educational landscape, including relevant technologies, standards, and regulations.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communicator who can effectively work across departments and convey the product vision.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Uses data to solve problems, make decisions, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Leadership: Inspires teams and sets a strategic direction for product development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree, especially an MBA preferred.
- Certifications in product management, project management, or educational technology/learning design.
- Prior experience in the nursing education market (Courware, NCLEX, and/or Simulation) is highly preferred, ideally in product management, sales, marketing, or related roles.

For full-time positions, Kaplan has two Salary Grades, this position is a Salary Grade B: $64,000 - $202,600. Actual compensation for this role is determined by several factors including but not limited to job level, candidate's skills, experience, and education, among other factors determined by the business.
