Gray Decision Intelligence provides the only complete academic Program Evaluation System (PES) for higher education. They seek a dynamic, results-driven Vice President of Sales to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales and account management skills coupled with strategic leadership capabilities. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing sales strategies, mentoring the sales team, and driving aggressive business growth.
Major Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to maximize performance to hit explosive growth targets
- Serve as a role model and mentor for the sales team through active sales participation; manage a portfolio of key accounts
- Foster a high-performance, results-oriented sales and account retention culture
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business growth objectives
- Implement sales processes and set up the associated automation in their CRM (HubSpot)
- Collaborate with marketing to develop effective lead generation, sales campaigns, and account retention processes
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning
- Collaborate with other departments to align business development goals with overall company objectives.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance and business development activities; accurately forecast sales and renewals; manage the sales pipeline
- Attend and manage sales participation in industry events
- Present Gray DI’s services and insights at industry conferences
Preferred Qualifications
- Several years of experience selling to higher education leaders
- Strong relationships with college and university presidents, provosts, and other senior executives
- Experience managing and growing a successful sales team in higher education
- Experience using a CRM and setting up reports and process automation
- Proven track record of high growth in a SaaS higher-education company
- Strong leadership ability – able to inspire, motivate, and lead a remote sales team
- Deep sales expertise and strong track record of successful sales and account management strategy and implementation, including the development and implementation of effective sales processes.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and drive business growth.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver persuasive presentations
- Ability to travel to client sites and conferences – approximately 25%
- Bachelor’s degree
