About the OpportunityEllucian is seeking a Vice President of Professional Services for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This strategic leader will oversee all aspects of delivery, leading a team of up to 30 professionals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of solutions consulting/services, experience working with partners and consulting firms, and a strong background in ERP, SIS, CRM, and HCM implementations. This individual will have a proven track record of growing and scaling delivery in a new region, including winning new business.
Where you will make an impact
- Leadership and Strategy:
- Oversee the Professional Services Field Delivery organization in the APAC region.
- Drive the vision and execution of Professional Services, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and manage a team of up to 30 professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Promote the usage of blended delivery models, including leveraging Ellucian Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and partners/subcontractors.
- Project Management and Delivery:
- Ensure effective execution of service delivery, meeting financial targets (revenue and profitability) and project quality metrics.
- Manage the book of business, driving consumption of Professional Services orders to accelerate time to value and maximize project profitability.
- Resolve escalations by leading cross-functional team resolutions to mitigate project risks and issues.
- Monitor the health status of the delivery region and proactively manage risks.
- Business Development and Partner Engagement:
- Identify business growth opportunities by applying knowledge of the Higher Education industry, business processes, and software products.
- Engage with partners and consulting firms (Deloitte, KPMG) to scale delivery and enhance service offerings.
- Assist the Customer Success team in developing solutions and providing expertise during the sales cycle.
- Operational Excellence:
- Establish and monitor delivery compliance and assurance metrics.
- Implement standardized processes and project best practices to ensure consistent delivery quality.
- Foster a positive working relationship with Sales, Pre-sales, Customer Success & Support, Cloud Operations, Managed Services teams, and the Office of the COO.
What you will bring
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive professional experience, including personnel management, technical leadership, and P&L ownership.
- Demonstrable experience in resource planning and optimization, revenue recognition, and EBITDA budgeting.
- Consulting or leadership position in a Professional Service Organization of a SaaS software company, with specific experience in moving applications from on-prem to Cloud/SaaS.
- Extensive experience in implementing large systems like ERPs, CRMs, Billing, HR, Logistics, or Custom Business Applications.
- Strong business acumen with expertise in process improvement, negotiation, go-to-market strategies, financial management, data and analytics, driving transformation, and strategic change.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across a matrixed organization and communicate complex information to multiple audiences.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with others.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% (e.g., customer meetings, events, training).
