WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT? As the gateway and front line concierge for our company, you will focus on providing stellar support to a wide range of clients, building relationships, educating customers on products and account navigation, researching best possible options, resolving client inquiries, and coordinating with internal specialists to ensure client satisfaction.

WHY IS THIS EXCITING? VHL is a growth organization and this newly added position will be an ambassador of the company while also being a key player in achieving our strategic goals. Each day will present new challenges and you will serve as the central point of contact for all things related to customer orders and returns, including supporting and working with other internal stakeholders such as Sales and Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Operations and Warehouse, and Technology.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

Work directly with customers (bookstores, schools, and students) by telephone and email
Process customer purchase orders in timely manner
Respond to, research, and resolve all customer and internal inquiries by telephone and email

YOU MUST HAVE (MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)

Bachelor’s degree minimum
Minimum of 2 years of Customer Service experience within an office or professional environment
Solid general computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office and Google Chrome
Flexibility to accommodate seasonal and unpredictable changes in responsibilities
Exceptional communication, active listening, organization, time-management and follow through skills

IDEAL IF YOU HAVE (PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)

Experience using Salesforce and/or Great Plains
Excellent project management skills
Experience with inventory management software

LOCATION - Hybrid Boston/Remote

This role is a Hybrid Boston, MA/remote work arrangement during the work week and requires two days of in-office time (Tues/Thurs).Our office is located at 500 Boylston Street, Boston, MA. Candidates must reside locally and within a reasonable distance to the office to be considered. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
