Clever is seeking a Senior Account Executive for District Partnerships. This salesperson will be responsible for selling Clever solutions to districts, adding new school district customers and retaining key existing school districts. Establishing and maintaining senior-level relationships at school districts and at the state level across the US will be a key aspect of this role. This position will work with the Clever District Success organization, which is responsible for day to day operational support and success of the Clever Platform.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Sell the value of the Clever solutions to medium and large school districts in assigned territory.
- Track, identify, and oversee the technical response submission and win competitive RFPs.
- Convert competitors and new districts using best practice sales methodologies.
- Build senior-level relationships with Clever’s existing and prospective school districts and key state education departments.
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline and track opportunities in SFDC.
- Use internal resources to drive weekly and monthly opportunity metrics.
- Assist Clever’s District Success Organization with the retention of key existing school district customers.
- Collaborate with Clever’s Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to continuously improve Clever’s software and services offerings for school districts.
- Help set vision and goals with Clever champions at school districts.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum five years of experience building relationships and selling technology products to school districts.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas YOY.
- Strong communication, technology, and presentation skills.
- An innate familiarity with how schools operate in curriculum, instruction, and technology departments.
- A deep understanding of the district procurement process.
- Strong negotiating skills and proven ability to negotiate and close deals collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and an openness to creative problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel in peak sales and conference seasons up to 50% of the time.
- Willingness to work and travel weekends for conferences and internal sales meetings.

SALARY TRANSPARENCY:
The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between $110,300 and $129,600. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA, it is between $121,300 and $142,600. All final offers are determined using multiple factors, including experience and level of expertise.
