As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role within the Technical Implementation team, responsible for leading and shaping complex, high-stakes technical integrations across Clever’s ecosystem. With your expertise in both technical pre-sales and solutions architecture, you’ll serve as a key contributor to strategic sales conversations, architecting and delivering high-impact solutions for larger and more complex customer deployments. You’ll be instrumental in developing Clever’s pre-sales program, applying your industry knowledge in B2B SaaS, APIs, and Microsoft suite integrations, to address the evolving needs of our K-12 district and learning applications clients. By collaborating across departments, mentoring team members, and driving sales outcomes, you will be crucial in advancing Clever’s mission to connect students with impactful learning technology.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Drive technical pre-sales efforts for high-complexity customers, utilizing deep knowledge of Clever’s platform, Microsoft technologies, and integrations relevant to SaaS and EdTech.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for EdTech/K-12 technical needs, guiding large districts and application providers through solution scoping, integration design, and implementation planning.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and propose tailored solutions for custom analytics integrations, secure sync deployments, and multi-layered SSO setups, effectively articulating Clever’s value in sales conversations.
- Architect and support the delivery of robust integration solutions, leveraging SQL, scripting, data extraction, and ETL methodologies, alongside familiarity with data warehouses and analytics platforms suited to K-12 use cases.
- Provide technical leadership and coaching within the Solutions Engineering team, sharing expertise on complex integration techniques, solution design, and pre-sales strategies.
- Proactively shape cross-functional projects and contribute to building Clever’s pre-sales technical framework, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Marketing on strategic initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date, detailed technical documentation on integration processes, custom solutions, and industry best practices, ensuring cross-functional accessibility and scalability.
- Regularly share insights on customer use cases, technical challenges, and industry trends, helping to inform Clever’s technical roadmap and product development
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 6+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical sales roles, preferably in SaaS, EdTech, or IT with complex integrations and high-stakes customer impact.
- Demonstrated expertise in API integrations, Microsoft Entra, SSO configurations, and data modeling/ETL for large-scale clients, with proven success in driving technical sales outcomes.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills and experience in coordinating high-complexity projects across sales, product, and engineering teams to meet customer requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies within SaaS environments, particularly in pre-sales, with a strong understanding of Active Directory, Entra, and SQL.
- Proven ability to shape and implement strategic pre-sales processes, identifying efficiencies and contributing to program-building efforts for long-term success.
- Commitment to delivering impactful results through a customer-centric approach and demonstrated experience as an SME in EdTech or K-12 sector sales, with an emphasis on equity and inclusivity.

SALARY TRANSPARENCY:
The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between $134,300 - $158,000. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA is between $147,700 - $173,800. This position also offers a 10% target, variable annual bonus incentive. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
